Getting Started

Years ago I knew a good story when I heard it and I finally decided to turn it into a novel. It took about three years for me to write Ekaterina but it is a story I've known for decades. Now that the book has been out in public for sometime, I decided I need to see if I can't find more ways to spread the word. Sure, I'd love to sell more books, but that is not the primary motivation. The story of Ekaerina is based on the life of Helen Filatova Brillat, who married my widowed grandfather while my father was still in high school. It is a universal tale of tragedy and triumph that millions of people continue to experience. So, this first, brief blog brings more attention to it and as I go, I'll fill in more blanks about my writing process and other projects.
